The Perseid Meteor Shower is an annual shower that is associated with the comet Swift-Tuttle. The stream of meteors is created by the comet as is orbits and most of the particles have been part of the debris cloud for thousands of years. The shower this year is expected to have between 100-200 meteors per hour during its peak. The best time to see the meteors will be Thursday night into Friday morning with the peak being just before sunrise on Friday morning.
