TWO NEW AREAS IN THE ATLANTIC TROPICS TO WATCH

Hurricane Danny didn’t have much of an impact anywhere, but following right in Danny’s tracks are two tropical waves that came off the African coastline last week.  Right now these two systems are not much more than scattered clouds but they are expected to become more than that over the coming days.  The closest one to the US in 98L, which we currently believe will become a tropical depression around Wednesday and the NHC is giving this a 90% chance of doing so. We believe that by Thursday this storm could become a Tropical Storm and by Friday it could be the second Hurricane of the Atlantic season.  This storm will be a slow mover as it will only be just north of Puerto Rico on Saturday. 95E which is the furthest of the two storms looks to also try to become a hurricane though this storm is further out and the NHC is only giving this storm a 10% chance of developing in the next 5 days as this storm will be slower to develop than 98L.  We will continue to post updates on the tropics and how the US may be affected by any storms.  These storms are simply to far out to try and predict where they will go and if they will affect the US.  We will post the next update on these storms as they develop into Tropical Depressions and become more organized.  Be sure to check back frequently and like us on Facebook.  We offer tons of free resources for tracking all types of severe weather, so be sure to take a look around and familiarize yourself with our systems so that you will be ready when severe weather strikes.
