Winter Storm Jonas is on it’s way to the east coast and could have major impacts from Arkansas to Connecticut. The storm will begin bringing snow to many areas of the southeastern US on Thursday night and will push north and east throughout the day Friday & Saturday. This system will continue to bring precipitation to the east coast before moving off the coast on Sunday. This storm will bring possibly 2 feet of snow to some areas with areas near Washington DC seeing the largest amounts of snowfall. The difference between snowfall in some areas could be great. There could be a difference of a foot in areas less than 30 miles apart, which has made this a complex storm to predict. We first started posting and monitoring this storm over 2 weeks ago through our website making us one of the first weather sites in the nation to predict this system. We have posted our best prediction of snowfall totals though we could possibly modify this some over the next day or so as we get new data in.
