Winter Storm Helena Could Bring Snow To Southeastern US This Weekend

Winter Storm Helena could possibly bring some measurable snowfall to the Southeastern US late this week into the weekend.  The storm is expected to bring heavy snowfall to the western and central US today through Thursday and could possibly cause some snow and ice issues for parts of the southeastern US Friday and into the weekend.  Though we aren’t ready to start predicting the snowfall totals yet we want you to be aware of the threat of this upcoming system.  As always with snow systems in the southeastern US there will be a fine line between the snow, ice and rain areas.  Areas from Texas into the Carolina’s could possibly see snow and ice from this system. We will provide a more in depth look at this system late Wednesday with possibly some snow and ice forecast totals.
