A waterspout was spotted near Nags Head, NC yesterday August 18, 2016. The waterspout was part of some storms that moved through the area yesterday causing alarm from some tourist staying in the area. Waterspouts are typically weaker than tornadoes, but at times are known to produce some damage if they move on shore. There weren’t any reports of damage associated with this storm.
