99L which we have discussed multiple times over the past couple weeks is beginning to look more organized and will have the potential to impact the United States, though the intensity and what type of storm this will be at that time is anyone’s guess. The storm is currently near Puerto Rico, but is expected to slowly move west over the next few days likely at least strengthening into a tropical depression if not a tropical storm. The Hurricane Hunters will also be flying into this storm today to get a better look at the overall system and how well organized it currently is. The models are currently all over the place with this one. Some models show this being a hurricane, while others only show it being a weak tropical low. Either way this system will need to we monitored over the next few days as the potential impacts could be between Sunday and Wednesday. We will continually provide updates on this system and provide any new details. This storm currently has an 80% chance of development and will likely become the eighth named storm of the 2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season.
