Severe WX Warn officially released it’s first applications into the Android App Store (Google Play) a little over a month ago and so far the applications have been a success. The apps have had 5,000 downloads as of today and 1,500+ views per day with a total of 44,000 views since launch. Our applications range from severe weather tracking applications to tourist destination applications. We are currently working on updates to these apps as well as introducing a totally new mapping system over the course of the next few months. The new mapping system will allow us to feed more data into our maps, speed up the mapping servers and open a whole new realm of possibilities for what will be possible with our maps.
Severe WX Warn officially launch in 2011 just before the April historic tornado outbreak that year. Severe WX Warn has continued to work to bring better life saving weather mapping applications to more people since it’s launch. 2015 has been a great year for Severe WX Warn as we have branched out into becoming a nationally recognized mapping and forecasting service for the United States. Many of our users state that our forecasting is far superior to that of the sites, applications and tv weather providers that they have previously used. The success and growth of Severe WX Warn can be shown through it’s numbers so far in 2015. In 2015 alone Severe WX Warn has had over 450,000 unique viewers visit the site for weather data and information with 1,000 to 2,000 views per day and during severe weather events we have seen as many as 150,000 views in a single day.
We want to thank you for making us your number one choice in weather mapping, data and forecasting and we look forward to serving life saving applications, maps, forecasting and data to you in the future.
