The areas to be affected on Sunday will be Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. The chances for hail, wind and tornadoes will all likely be the highest in these areas over the weekend on Sunday. The chance for severe weather in these areas on Sunday will be “enhanced”. The severe weather threat for today will cover a large portion of the US with a “Marginal” threat, which will mainly be scattered severe thunderstorms with a higher focus on areas of West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado for severe hail and damaging winds with low chance for a tornado. Going into Monday, areas of Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Missouri will have a “slight” chance of severe weather, which is slightly above average.
