This week has seen it’s fair share of severe weather, with tornado, wind and hail damage from the Central US and Southeastern US. Today will be a lesser threat, though there will still be a chance for some damaging wind, severe hail and possibly some tornadoes. The threat area today extends from Texas into Maine with the main threat area centered around The Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama Florida and Louisiana. The NWS has categorized this as a slight risk day, which means the chances are slightly above normal for severe weather. The biggest threat for severe weather will be from 4 pm to midnight tonight.
