Area’s of North Carolina will see snow on Sunday with some areas of the mountains getting as much as 2-3 inches and the piedmont getting up to 1 inch. Below is the most recent map from our Snowfall Forecast map and application, which is available on Android, Apple and through our website. We have been following this system and first predicted a chance of snow in the Carolina’s 2 weeks ago. Some of the other areas not shown in the map below could see flurries, but will not likely see accumulation and areas east of the mountains will likely not see accumulation on roads. We will post another update on this system tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. with any changes in the models and amounts of accumulation.
